A Message From the President ~

Welcome to the Stowe Historical Society website where you can get a glimpse of our collections, programs, facilities and our services.  This is one way to stay in touch with our many friends and supporters.  It is also an introduction to those who are unable to visit us in the Memorial Room of the Akeley Soldiers Memorial Building or the early 1900’s class room in the Bloody Brook Schoolhouse (closed in the winter) located next to our new home coming the summer of 2010.  Both of these former schoolhouses are adjacent to the 1863 District 6 schoolhouse - Helen Day Memorial Library and Art Center - home of the Stowe Free Library and Helen Day Art Center.

Our success is dependent on your participation.  Please take a moment to contact us with your comments, suggestions and ideas that may help us to improve our content and services.

                                                                                                        --Barbara Baraw, President
